A release agent is a specially designed coating applied to the surface of a mold. Its function is to form a barrier film between the mold and the cast object, facilitating the easy release of the cast part from the mold.

1. Eco-friendly and pollution-free: Compared to traditional solvent-based release agents, this release agent offers better environmental performance as it primarily consists of water, surfactants, lubricants, and other auxiliary components, containing no harmful solvents.

2. Easy to clean: The release agent is easy to clean, reducing the workload and cost of cleaning during production.

3. Heat and corrosion resistance: This coating has strong heat and corrosion resistance, protecting the mold surface from wear and corrosion, thereby extending the mold's service life.

4. Non-toxic and odorless: The release agent is harmless to humans and can be used safely.

Precautions for Using Release Agent
1. Dilute with water (dilution ratio 3-10 times as appropriate), and stir evenly. The dilution ratio can also be adjusted according to on-site requirements. It is best to use the diluted mixture all at once.
2. Apply using a spray gun or roller brush. Allow the coated mold to dry completely before pouring concrete.
3. Clean the template or mold surface thoroughly before application.
4. Store at room temperature, protect from freezing and direct sunlight. After opening, ensure the container is sealed and stored properly.
5. Avoid construction during rainy weather. If the coating is washed away by rain immediately after application, reapply before proceeding.
6. Packaging specification: 50KG drum.

The mixing ratio of release agent to water typically ranges from 1:3 to 1:10, and the specific ratio can be adjusted based on actual needs. For example, depending on the complexity of the casting and on-site conditions, the dilution ratio can be flexibly adjusted. Generally, the more complex the casting, the lower the dilution ratio.

The main components of the release agent include wax, stearic acid, vegetable oil, emulsifying aids, potassium hydroxide, etc., produced through heating, melting, and emulsification processes. Its characteristics include safe operation, minimal environmental pollution, low harm to human health, excellent release performance, and biodegradability.

When using the release agent, it is recommended to dilute it with tap water and stir. Determine the appropriate dilution ratio based on the complexity of the casting and on-site conditions. For complex castings, it is advisable to spray a uniform layer of diluted solution onto the mold after each release to ensure easy demolding for the next pour.

The release agent is also a water-soluble release agent, meaning its internal components can fully dissolve in water. Emulsions of compounds such as methyl silicone oil are commonly used in industry. The emulsion is water-soluble, offering high heat resistance, easy cleaning, good corrosion and fire resistance, minimal environmental pollution, and relatively safe transportation and storage.

Due to its high water content, water-based release agents differ in many aspects from traditional oil-based or solvent-based release agents. The release effect of the release agent depends on a film only a few micrometers thick deposited on the cavity surface after spraying. Therefore, higher requirements are placed on component selection and application techniques. However, its advantages are also evident, including facilitating automated operations, effective cooling, no scaling, improved surface quality of castings, reduced internal porosity, safe usage, clean production, and reduced environmental pollution.

The release agent has strong adhesion, allowing it to preferentially adhere to the mold without transferring to the molded part. It can also modify the resin surface, improving resin flowability and enhancing surface quality. It is widely used for demolding molds, silicone rubber, plastics, and other products.
